Lisa Beznosiuk

Born in the UK, the Ukrainian-Irish flautist Lisa Beznosiuk is an internationally renowned performer on early flutes. She performs both as a soloist and as principal flautist with orchestras such as The Academy of Ancient Music, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (of which she is a founder-member), English Consort, English Baroque Soloists, London Classical Players and New London Consort. She has performed in many countries throughout Europe, the Far East and North and South America and has made many recordings of 18th and 19th century works.

Lisa Beznosiuk studied at the Guildhall School of Music in London and is professor of early flutes at the Royal Academy of Music (London), the Royal College of Music (London), the Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester) and the Centre for Early Music Performance and Research at the University of Birmingham. She is an Honorary Member of the Royal College of Music.
