Alexander (Sasha) Grynyuk studied at the Kyiv Special Music School and the National Music Academy of Ukraine, and is currently studying with Ronan O’Hora at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
He has had several competition successes including prizes in the Horowitz and Gilels International Piano Competitions, First Prize in the Jacques Samuels Piano Competition in 2004 which led to a Purcell Room debut, First Prize in the 2007 Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition, and the 2008 Guildhall School Gold Medal. He has given many concerts in Ukraine, including appearances with all the leading Ukrainian Orchestras, as well as recitals throughout Europe and the United States, including concert appearances at the Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
