Ivan Putrov

Ivan Putrov was born in Kyiv and trained at the Kyiv Ballet School. Before joining The Royal Ballet School (London) in 1997 he won first prize at the 1996 Prix de Lausanne and a gold medal at the Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition (Kyiv). He is currently a soloist with The Royal Ballet and also a guest artist with the Ukrainian National Ballet and the Kyiv Ballet.

Among the roles he has danced are the Nephew and the Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker, the Boy with Matted Hair in Shadowplay, Albrecht in Giselle, Beliaev in A Month in the Country, Basilio in Don Quixote, James in La Sylphide, Lensky in Onegin and the Bronze Idol in La Bayadere.
