About the Calendar

The Ucrainica Cultural Calendar covers a variety of cultural events in the UK which have a Ukrainian connection, with the aim of promoting Ukrainian culture. Originally named the "Ukrainian Cultural Calendar in the UK", it was launched in 2002.

Event details included in the calendar are generally based on information emanating from the event organisers. Although efforts are made to ensure the details are correct, the site owners cannot accept responsibility for the accuracy of the information. Events are included in the calendar at the discretion of the site owners.

Ukrainian names of performers are generally presented in the calendar in accordance with the English spelling adopted by the performers themselves. Otherwise, Ukrainian words are, as a rule, transliterated from the Cyrillic to the Roman script using the Official Ukrainian Transliteration System.
